“I remember when we first opened, every car that was withdrawing and every person who went through, we caught loudly,” Gogolak said. “We celebrated, and we still do today. Because it matters. Gogolak says that during her years of running are polite, she and other business owners have supported each other. With Friday’s interruption, she says she is feeling even more encouraged.
“The fact that this is being discussed nationwide is amazing,” she said. “Sometimes, as the owner of a small business, you feel like you are in this war yourself, so know that there is a community trying to gather to support you – it’s humble.”

Friday’s interruption may not be the last. The USA Union USA and other groups are discussing the organization of longer interruptions and boycotts aimed at specific companies.
